Beware when ordering a S-I-T-B. Took 9 months to complete the order before delivery. Arrived with no instructions. Then 15 years to get "it" to sort of work properly. And when "it" is working "it" sometimes makes a terrible noise. "It" usually stops working when not supervised. I've sank a ton of money just to get "it" into the shape you now see. I knew when "it" arrived I would not be ordering another one.

No pics from the Jan Breakfast?

Here is one from the Cincinnati Zoo parking lot the other day, just to add something new to the thread.

^Click so you actually see it!

It's nice to have a parking-buddy for your MINI when you leave it for the day

I took none. Too cold for me. Hopefully next breakfast will be a bit warmer.

Here are a couple from a cold day....

That 1st photo looks like a "fun" road... probably more fun when not covered in ice though!

During our trip to Barbados we rented the Chevy version of a MOKE (not recommended for rainy days). The first place we park it we come out to find the locals have come out to say hi.
All together I counted 5 MINIs during the week. It really is the most English of the Caribbean islands!

Wow what a weird little car. Looks like it could be Indian or Chinese. Never would have guessed Chevy.

Yeah it was funky. Plus the steering is flopped and you drive on the left side of the roads. And in the Caribbean there are almost separate lanes!

Quick iPhone shots of the new BRG =D

Just a few poor light shots of the BRG... Blimey, I need some CHECKERED MIRRORS now!

Photo thread...-mirror-side.jpg
Photo thread...-profiled-brg.jpg
Adding Lots of Checkers (inside and out), White bonnet Stripes, 'S' Spoiler, White 16" wheels,
and maybe some custom graphics... although all of those might take a couple days

Heh... I won't lie... the LRW had a HUGE impact on my decision. I've had a lot of fun whipping that lil' beastie around some corners

That 'SUV' is the Darke County Parks' 12 passenger van, the Great White Whale... it's a beast!

I will ALWAYS sorely miss my R50... if I could take most of the R56 and cram it into my R50's body, it'd be perfect! Some day I'll pick up another '06 R50 as a weekend driver... but for now, this made more sense and should provide quite a few 's in the future!

Transformation of the BRG!

Well, after a trip to Columbus and Outmotoring, I gathered the required items to transform the BRG from an "off-the-lot" cooper to MY Cooper! Thanks to Aaron at Outmotoring (and MAG) for the parts required.

Here are is a BEFORE shot:

Photo thread...-dsc_0005-small.jpg

HERE is the finished Product (for tonight... a bit more later this week):

Photo thread...-dsc_0030-small.jpg

We added the JCW Grill, the checkered mirror caps and the bonnet stripes. Angie has a great eye for the stripes, as most of my stuff ends up crooked, I let her do the work As she said after the fact, Ang's Vinyl Shop is now open!

While MOST of it went without a hitch... there was one casualty.

Using the old 'standby' for removing the mirrors to install the mirror caps, the passenger side's CRACKED

Photo thread...-dsc_0031-small.jpg

I was eventually able to get it off the rest of the way to put on the new cap... but needless to say I was not happy. To make matters WORSE, upon calling dealerships to find the cost of a new mirror... I found it was $75-96 And yes, that is JUST for the little piece of glass Either way, things turned out pretty good. Even with the busted mirror, I'm still about $10 less than what MAG tried to charge me .

Next step, extend the sport stripes down the bumper!

New Grill Surround

Hey everyone! Mods look great.
I just installed the JCW grill surround last night, to get rid of the chrome, thanks to Aaron and OUTMOTORING.com
I think I'm going to keep going with the blackouts...

Clubman Detailed

I finally got around to detailing the wife's 08 Clubman S. It had a ton of contaminants on it from driving through a work zone every day for the past year. Clayed and used Zaino AIO and Z-2 Pro. Cleaned up well and is nice and shiny now.

Here's a photo from the Amish drive. My others are lines of MINIs...
I was in Tennessee this past week and saw some classic MINIs running around.
