Per Crashton's advice I got my snow tires from Tire Rack. UPS dropped them off and my guy at the corner installed, saved a ton of $$$. Also per Crashton (the mighty Silverback) I had the mini aligned at that time too.
Oh yeah snowy tires - went with Blizzak, but then you guys down south don't know what "snow" really looks like, I think this past season's snow pile finally melted last weekend
If I buy tires from Tire Rack.com do I just take them to a local dealer to have them put on my wheels?
if you buy them from tire rack, take them to Grilliot's [they are just outside Greenville, on Bears Mill Rd.]. they are one of tire rack's listed installers and they do a great job. i've had all my tires installed by them lately. even tho they are about 20 miles away from me, the job they do with the installation is worth the money and the time it takes to get there.
Hey Carve, I drive to/from Springfield-Columbus every week day and have had no problems with the Zeons. Keep in mind that I'm running 205/45 17's which aren't snow carvers in any brand, but even the heavy snows this past winter didn't keep me off the roads.
I bought the Goodyear Eagle F1 all-season, in size 205/45R17.
I just had the same tires put on my 06 Cooper S. What an amazing difference! I drove them home in a rainstorm and felt safer than I ever have in my car. The grip and ride quality is such an improvement over the runflats. Hope you enjoy your tires as much as I am!
Went with the Kumho ASX's in 195/60R15. Would have liked to consider the Goodyear's but they were considerably
more. Everyone that I spoke with seemed very happy with these tires, so I'm hoping for the best!
I'm working right off of I-70 ~exit 62, on Rt. 40 - the very east side of Springfield. There are two new buildings going up and I'm in one of them.
I'm up off 68 next to the International plant so I travel two lane roads back and forth. If you are leaving north columbus, I can give you some good routes to take.

I have them on my Cooper and on my MCS, and cannot say enough good things about them. The ride has improved soooo much over those stinkin' runflats, and the tires themselves cost over half less than runflats. I now have about 10k on the MCS tires and 5k on the Cooper's. both sets are wearing well.
