***Nelson Fun Day Nov 3rd*** Wanna go?
Actually the pan shot was the only one out of the group that was done with my camera and lense. I forget the shutter speed....i think it was maybe 1/500?
I'm gonna start saving up to see if i can get one of those bad boys for sure

The silver MCS that hit the tires. Very sad....
I followed him in the first session for group A a while. He knows the track & was cutting some good times. IMO he was right on the edge in turn 12 & 13. But he was under control. I was very impressed with his driving.
A bit later when my wife was out in group C he was out again. I was standing at the pit wall watching Babs & Allen have fun. Waiting for their session to end so I could do a driver change & have fun of my own. Then.....
The silver MCS came out of turn 13 all crossed up. I was sure he was going to spin off. He fought the car & it snapped back the other way only to snap back again. One more snap & he was pointed straight at the outside tire wall. It appeared that he hit the gas & when straight into the tires. Man was I afraid for him. The car augured in & bounced back out.
What happened next should be in the do not do reel of the track day how to film.
Both he & his passenger jumped out of the car with the track still hot.
The starter was on the ball & dropped a red flag almost immediately.
Trouble was the red flag wasn't shown in the station at turn 13. Lucky someone didn't spin in the dirt all over the track & hit them.
The front bumper was cracked. The lower valance was ripped off. The ac condenser was pushed into the rad. Neither one leaked. The car was drivable & fortunately the airbags didn't deploy. He was done for the day, but he was able to drive his car 85 miles back to Pittsburgh.
Not a fun fun day for him.

I have to say that Barbara & I had a great time being with our friends.
Man I love you guys.
All of you folks who missed it sure missed a fun day. We had big stupid grins on our faces that will last a very long time.
Today I pulled the tires & looked things over. My front pads are about the thickness of a Ruffles potato chip.
Time for some brake work.
Hey Aaron is there a LAME Old Fart discount available?

Rally we'd stuff the ballot box for you.
Maybe we could be the judge.
Could you photoshop me in front of Mark.
Don't know if this matters, but that shot is the one I'd pick for a calender.

I think everything is photoshopable, except that ridicously long antenia sticking off the roof of that poor mini, I now know why we almost spun the wind resistance on that thing messed with the balance of the car.
Stubby antenia uber all!

It's not the size of your antenna. It's the frequencies it can pull in.
I called Mark a few times & haven't heard back?? I sent him a PM & haven't heard back?? I'm getting a bit concerned.

WOW!!!!! Just wonderful.
Babs will love that shot.
Thanks for your hard work.
Edit... When Babs straps on her helmet she becomes Babs Bambini, racing driver.
