Pulley Party in DC Metro Area
I'd say let's try to keep in track and get randy to come over.
mmatarella's place sounds like a lot of fun!!
* I noticed your license plate number is only 1 digit different from mine. mine ends with a 7

All - Looks like this thread is going toward a Randy PP at mmatarella's in Alexandria (thanks for offering Mark!
Agree with MartyR's earlier assessment on Randy. He starts with a "tech day" and then answers questions all day. He also welcomes anyone who wants to get their hands into it to help out (under Randy's supervision, if needed).

Marty
Local Installations
Just a reminder that John Behe has a local shop in Glenelg (Just south of I70 on MD27) where pulleys and other magic Mini Tricks are available.
At one point, Randy announced a policy of not encroaching on the "turf" of local installers.
Also note that John is a DCMM member and has sponsored out local Tech Day events. Call him at (410)489-0230.

Alexandria...
I'm also open to hosting / providing my garage other dates too. It certainly would not have to be the 23rd when I'm having the MINI cookout. I just thought that would be extra fun if it woudl work.
If my garage, July 9-10 is not available for me though. I might have other block out dates I'd have to check my work calendar too. If my garage is wanted, I'd suggest whomever is asking Randy feel free to call me (703) 725-7638 if it's a date other than 23rd so I can confirm I'm in town.
I could even put him up if he wants to save a few $.

Just wondering if anyone has heard any news about the party? I'm trying to make vacation plans and it seems the times I can take it are either during the weekend of July 9th or the weekend of the July 23rd. Which happen to be the two proposed weekends for the party.
So, as you may be able to tell I am planning my vacation around my car.
Is it wrong that I am planning my vacation around my car?

Spoke w/ Randy
He would like to shoot for July 9-10. He is fine with the date just needs a place for the party.
Someone's personal garage, any place with a garage in case of rain.
2 x 2ton jacks
2 x jack stands
1 x Air compressor and airtools.
Everything else he will ship out. (Pulleys, and other parts to install)
He said he will post on his forum the dates and info and then one of us (probaly me) will then post the link with the info here.
So who is good with these dates? Is this list of folks still solid?
1. MDSBrain - pulley
2. golden_child
3. VoiD
4. BlackSpyder
5. MiniZoom
6. 3neMini
7. mudflap - pulley, unichip and alta intake

If anyone is on vacation in California the sevrice department at Seven Ent. installs the Alta pulley for $ 350.00 plus tax on the parts. This is our club price and several Nor Cal members have taken advantage of this deal.

I just tried to post my requested time for 7.9.05@11:00 on Randy's site but my reply didn't show up.
I'll try again later I guess.

Plus you have the ability to go back eaisly if there is a problem, and I will now be building a relationship with a local guy for the additional mods I know I will be eventually doing.
They also seem really great, I've talked to Brian twice about my needs, what I want to get from the car etc... and he's told me that a couple of things I thought of doing would be a waste of my money. They really take the time to assess your needs and tell it to you straight. I'll post my take on actually getting the pully in after next Tuesday.
