Recommendations on glass repair in Md.?

ARgh! Great way to start the morning...caught a rock on the way to work, it hit the windshield about a quarter of the way up on the passenger side. It left a lovely star about the size of a quarter. Can anybody in the Baltimore area (I live in Bel Air) recommend a glass repair or replacement shop? I'm hoping this can be filled rather than replaced.

I guess I'd rather the rock hit the glass than the paint...but this is my first MINI defilement! ARgh!

Thanks...

Hmmm....Tate set me up with Banner Glass of Glen Burnie for my first replacement - they did it right there in Tate's service dept. Sounds good so far, right? Well, soon later I noticed that whenever I closed the door the windshield moved a bit. With the windows up there's a momentary increase in air pressure and the glass would flex outward in the center at the bottom. Then one day I was motoring without the stereo and I noticed a lot of wind noise. There's more, but long-story-short, I got a stress fracture that started in the center at the bottom. Tate agreed to replace it under warranty and when they removed it they found that there was only about 6 inches of good seal at the bottom of the glass - it was just resting there and could have easily come off.

Well, all I know is that I had a shop do it in annapolis and my plastic pillar covers flew off a week later.(long story, trying really hard to forget) I have not had any problems with my install from Banner. Now, when i talked with the guy, he indicated that the Minis have a bit of a unique window install and it takes doing a couple before things go right. Maybe you were one of his firsts.

He had the additional difficultly in dealing with the crap the other window installer had left behind. I guess the rule of thumb from this is that you better get a window installer who has done minis before.
