Isn't the 21st Armageddon? I seem to remember seeing a few billboards to that effect... Don't recall if that is coming from the Mayan calendar or from Revelations...
Anyway, that might require some carefully crafted acts of defiance.
(I figure racing the Corvettes qualifies, but there are so many right answers out there...).
I did the route yesterday morning (again), and it was wet and sandy and beautiful. There were a few large commercial vessels anchored well outside the mouth of the Portsmouth River, waiting for terminal or dock space I'd guess. The ocean was choppy enough to dissuade most of the lobstermen, but the north-east swell I was expecting was nowhere to be seen.
Perhaps this good idea should be proposed again? One might begin by asking whether Saturday or Sunday would draw the best crowd? If we want dry weather it looks like early June might be a better starting point, as I have pretty well given up on May.
Charlie you sure know how to make that ride sound inviting. I just bought a set of used Rota RB wheels with very used Z1s that I am itching to try. Unfortunately mother nature hasn't been cooperating and there not even on the car yet. Couldn't get any of the lugs on the first wheel loose even with a breaker bar. Whoever installed my old wheels obviously never heard of a tourqe wrench. Bought a four foot length of black iron pipe last night but a monsoon struck just as I was pulling in the driveway. I sure hope I get them installed before Armageddon.
Yeah we can move it since its more than likely going to rain (somewhat a fan of driving in nasty rain though) and more people can do it the following weekend.

Lol, it can be fun sometimes to get a little slide out of the back in the wet and I'm sure you can really kick the tail out with that 22mm RSB you have
But it would be great if we could move it up a week, then I could actually attend
I second that motion! Particularly since I've had to back out of the Corvette Club event due to front wheel bearing concerns. The new bearings will be on the car by the 28th.

I too would be up for a ride next weekend. Hopefully we will all survive Armageddon or at least outrun it in our MINIs. Maybe the weather will be better to boot.

Actually, it was pulled out of a scam artist's b*tt.
I'm heading out right now for some lunch and then an adventure to target, but after that I'm pretty much bored.
I'm about 15 minutes from norwood and ~1/2 an hour to quincy... don't know where there's a good place in between.
