I'll be in Salem for a few days early in the week on business, then will be hanging out in Boston the remaining time, and possibly the surrounding area. Can anyone suggest where I could rent a Mini to motor around for a few days?

Not sure where you could rent one, maybe enterprise or one of the rental agencies would have one. Go over to www.massmotoringclub.com and jump in, there's lots of folks from the Boston area, maybe we can get some folks together for some motoring and/or dinner

 

It used to be that you could get a MINI through Zipcar, not sure if that is still true ... there's a number of Zipcar locations around Boston.

 

Thanks for the ideas....I'll check out the local website. Would love to get together for dinner and/or etc.

 

In response to GBMINI, there are many MINI ZipCars in the Boston area to rent. The regular MINIs usually go for $79 per day and the convertibles usually go for $99. If you're interested in renting for a day, definitely schedule as far in advance as possible. If someone else were to reserve the car for even an hour on a particular day, you wouldn't be able to reserver it for the whole day.

And in regards to getting together, some if not many of us may be at MINI of Peabody's annual OctoberFast on October 26. Might make sense if people wanted food to meet for dinner after, F1Boston, etc.

OctoberFast looks like a really fun event...but I guess I have to bring my own Mini for the autocross - hopefully I can get one!
