The axle popped out of the trans and it turns out the LSD is bad.
I do not have any time to work on the car anymore.
I am going to sell the car as is.

I am lowering the price to 13K or taking reasonable offers.

So I finally had time to tear the car apart and get the trans out.

The good - It got a brand new OEM water pump, Thermostat and seals.

The bad - It ended up needing more than just the diff so now it needs a Trans.

Price drop to 11K the car needs a transmission and will have to be towed home.

This thread is blowing my mind... I've never before seen a car drop in price by 10k and completely fall apart while sitting in someone's garage! I'm really surprised you're continuing to attempt a sale on this site... buyer beware!

.......$25 OBO, $21k, $19.5 firm, $15.6 firm, $13k, and now $11k. Originally stated as being repaired to the highest standards and tons of new parts to keep the car in perfect mechanical condition. Well................what happened? Hmmmmm.

First off none of you have came to see or inspect the car and know anything about it.
No one has asked for specific pictures or videos of anything.

I will gladly get pictures and or video of anything needed.

Secondly the car has received tons and tons of parts to keep it on proper condition.
Unfortunately the differential broke and took out the ring gear and both main shaft pinions. But 5K+ in receipts don't lie.

Please keep all negative comments to yourselves and out of this thread.
When I joined this forum I thought I wouldn't have to deal with the high school childish drama that I have seen on other forums.

Not so much HS drama as opposed to an assessment of the situation and representation of the vehicle. It's quite possible the original postings wasn't entirely accurate. I know that if I spent any of the dollar amounts you requested on this car and then later found out that there was more faults, I would be really disappointed. More like angry. In this forum you have knowledgeable enthusiasts and people who revere these cars. I have to say that honesty and integrity guides us as we share information that may aid another owner. That's all we have to go on. You have jeopardized your position by continuously lowering the cost from previous "firm" prices and then there are more problems found at every turn. There is a reason why the car has not been seen or inspected, and why "specific pictures or video of anything" has not been asked for. This is just an honest thought on the situation that may help you. I wish you the best in selling what is a great car if in operable condition and in factory or near factory condition.

Depreciation is also a B**ch. My 2006S was worth 15k in 2010, I was planning to sell it last year for 12k on Ebay, the best but I got was for 6K so I decided to keep the car. For 6k it is the best inexpensive toy to tinker with.

Congrats, like a phoenix rising from the ashes. This car sounds like it needs a really devoted owner. How is it holding up after all these years?

She def needed some work thats for sure... someone in the past was a smoker in her and had some issues over the year that caused some damage... so the entire interior was pulled out, scrubbed and ozoned which took the smell right out

The entire underbody panel system was replaced, then the rear brakes were shot and replaced with R56 rears (just finished)... the paint needed some tending to so it got a full correction and the plastics were body matched (apparently because of a track incident some of the plastics were scarred... its sitting at 99k miles right now and some of the OEM parts were replaced (with DDM versions) but she is just about right where she should be... next on the docket are a set of H-sport rear arms and a Greene Performance Coilover set

the OEM wheels are back home (need to be refinished) so its currently sitting on a set of Sparco Assetto Gara's

Seems like it held up better than I thought judging by the plummeting asking price and additional problems near the end of this thread. I definitely like the painted wheel arches, haven’t seen many GP1s with that paint scheme, I thinks it makes the look of the GP bumpers and skirts look way more cohesive, and less like an afterthought.
I’m sure we’ll see the progress on your future posts. Good work.

i bought her in 2019 for 12,500... though im sure with the current asking prices for the GPs im sure i could make the money back and then some but whats the fun in that... she wasnt a trailer queen and i dont plan to treat her as such... but i have no intentions of letting this one go so i am going to get her right and just enjoy the hell out of her... i think the big plan in the near future is a full RMW engine with the TVS900... it really annoyed me how MINI spec'd these limited editions... one day i will get my hands on a set of the euro GP1 seats

Spoil her rotten, there’s lots of miles, and lots of fun left in that one. $12.5 was a great price for that. Definitely not a trailer queen, that can get boring.

The biggest issue is the surface rust on the surfaces, this was daily driven in Michigan and it shows... after the dragon I may just go see allmag parts and get two rust free subframes and pop them on
