2006 Mini GP Price Drop! Now 13K

1 Attachment(s)
The car will be in a photo shoot this weekend.

Mini GP #1066 Located in Michigan.

Well its time to put my baby up for sale. 25k OBO. Now 21K FIRM. Final price drop 19.5K FIRM. New price 15,600 FIRM
The car has 78,000 miles on it and will go up as I drive it on nicer days.
I am the second owner and I purchased the car back in May of 2011 with 54k on it.
I purchased a aftermarket car warranty when I took out the loan. Its 5 years or 50k miles. I will call and make sure it can be transferred.

In the past 15k miles the car has gotten a lot of work done.
I am crazy about keeping up on maintenance and replacing parts on all my vehicles.

Detroit Tuned or I did all work on the vehicle.
I would like to take a second to thank Chad and Matt for always taking care of the car and my concerns. They are very professional and offer a much better repair experience than any other shop or dealer I have ever been too and or worked at. I would recommend everyone to stop in and get some work done regardless of distance. It will be more than worth it.

Since I have owned the car I have changed the oil every 2,500 miles with a OEM filter and Mobile 1.

New parts installed:
TSW engine mount.
BSH lower engine mount.
Powerflex transmission bushings.
Detroit Tuned tensioner stop.
New belt.
Powerflex belt tensioner damper bushings.
Craven Speed 15% supercharger pulley.
Craven Speed +2% crank pulley.
New spark plugs.
Detroit Tuned bypass valve.
Mini OEM oil pan gasket.
OEM drain plug.
Crank Sensor O-ring.
New T-MAP sensor OEM.
Powerflex control arm bushings.
Powerflex front swaybar bushings.
Craven Speed short antenna.
Craven Speed tow hook.
OEM power steering fan.
H Sport rear comp 25mm bar.
Vorshlag camber plates.
Mini Aero upper grill.
Mini AUX kit.
Oem timing tensioner.
Valve cover gasket.
Alta intercooler boots.
Four new tires 215/35R18 KDW’s.
Alignment.
5% tint on back three windows.
Matte black wrapped headlight rings(970RA)

I am sure I am forgetting things. I will add them as I go through receipts.

Now Time for the bad.
The car has been in two accidents both of which were minor and the car has a clean title minus the Lean from the bank.

I do not have pictures of the first one before I owned it.
I am posting pictures of my (accident).
I was driving on the express way and a muffler came off the car in front of me and cracked the edge of the front lip and bumper.

Most of you will think I am crazy for posting the car for 21k with this high mileage and the accidents. But the car has been repaired to the highest standards and has tons of new parts to keep the car in perfect mechanical condition for another 75k.

Accident damage will inevitably affect the value of the car, no matter how good or professionally done the repairs were made.

Which is why the price is OBO.

The photo shoot went great. I will upload the pictures at some point today.

The car just got new Map sensors, DDM GP diverter, Intake tube, Oil change and some other random things.

No offense, but doesn't $25k for a GP with 74k and two accidents seem like a crazy high price? Clean cars with 20k are barely pulling that much.

It does say "OBO". This car is every bit as clean as the others and also has tons of parts already replaced that the others will soon need.
Technically it's been in one accident. I will post a picture of the second accident.
The only thing that happened was the front lip on the passenger side broke the corner off and poped the lower grill out of place from hitting a muffler in the road. I only say two accidents because it may show up on a carfax as two.

I am in no rush to sell this car. I am still replacing more and more parts on it every week. At this point I'm debating getting FA53 and keeping it.

Price Drop!
Now 21K FIRM.

I just replaced both front wheel bearings with OEM.
I also did a trans flus with royal purple fluid.

mini coop 04-26-2013 08:49 PM

So the car was run hard it sounds like?

91civic_tsi 05-07-2013 05:46 PM

I dont believe it has been "ran hard".

It was rear ended by some idiot and ran over a muffler on the express way.

The car will be posted on eBay soon.

Since you don't need to sell it, keep it. Once you sell it, you'll regret it.

I may. I just sold my Evo and really want another one. If anything ill just buy another GP down the line.

87Rocket 05-12-2013 05:46 AM

The problem here is deep and complex. The GP is a collector's car, and a collector wants an original unmolested lower mileage or unit-wrecked car.

You have a modified, wrecked, higher mileage car.

I have had multiple cars that fall into the extremely limited production category and in its current form you basically have a car with the same value as a decent Mini S....

You likely also voided your warranty you purchased with the aftermarket pulleys and mods.

I am in Michigan, however I am decades away from $19.5.

Hate to be honest like this, but have went though this myself.

91civic_tsi 06-06-2013 07:03 AM

Price drop again. 18K FIRM.
I just want to get back into a "fast" car.
