Hi guys, I just bought my first Mini, an 04' Mini S IB/B and I have the bright silver X-Lites in 16" that I'm not to fond of.....Im looking for a trade for a set of Black Rims and Tires. Really, any black wheel could be exactly what I'm looking for so please send me pics of them. Even if I have to give up some X-Lites and some cash, thats fine, if the deal is good. Thanks. I only have pictures of the rims mounted but it will be Rims and Tires.

Why don't you just get them Powder Coated Black. Or get 17" S Lites and do the same?

there's always the OEM steelies which come in BLACK

 

about the powder coating.... how much does that go for moreless on s-lites?

I checked on powder coating some wheels here in Michigan and the best that I found was around $80 each for a surface prep (walnut shell blast) and powder coat. It was too much for me (and my old Merkur wheels), so I just preped and painted them myself the old fashioned way for about $10. Not too bad

BTW More prep = better results

 

I sold my original wheels on ebay and bought nice black ones (Exel Race with tires) from wheelmax.com
Even made some money too.
I doubt though that anyone who has had the urge for black wheels regretted his/her choice and now wants to trade back. You may have to indeed sell and buy too.
