Based on that picture...

I hope the baby looks like you, rather than your wife.

Sadly this is your first post. You should have joined us in the Fathers and babies threads. There are lots of new families here on NAM that have done just fine. I'm one of them. My son is now a year and a half, and he's been motoring in my MINI since he was 3 weeks old.

It's not true that baby strollers don't fit, it's just that there aren't as many. The one that I recommend is the Peg Perego Aria which is a full size stroller that fits perfectly in the boot. It's travel system is one of the best parts as well when moving your infant around--takes just seconds to put the baby in an out of your MINI.

I put this article up on October 2003 when I was researching the "perfect baby stroller for the MINI"
http://www.littlemini.us/gallery/baby.asp

If you've already made up your mind, its understandable, but if you really love your MINI, a newborn isn't a reason to dump the MINI.

And my Expectant Fathers thread

Good luck selling your MINI.

Great post, Richard.

Last time I checked, babies were still really small!

Dude, listen to Richard. There are definitely strollers that fit in the Mini. Remove the rear shelf and even larger strollers will fit. I used to haul around a Peg Perego Venezia in mine - no problem. I've got 2 kids, one of which was only 1 when I got my first Mini. It works, and kids totally love the car, especially if you have a "roof window."
