I'm ordering an '06 MCS. I already have wheels/tires arranged. I can order with or w/o the sport pkg - whether I order it or not is largely dependent on the market for a new set of 17" SLites & runflats, vs. market for 16" Xlites (ie vspokes) & runflats. Opinions? Anybody here like to invest in mini wheel futures? Would appreciate advice.

look at ebay to see how much the market is willing to pay for the wheels. Chances are that the dealer won't sell them for you, unless you buy new wheels from them. I would say to get the 16" just so you can down size if you ever feel like it (or drop a little weight). Probably would be easier to sell them for $400-600 than it would be to sell s-lites. That is just an observation and not a professional opinion, but I am sure some would agree.

 

A set of 16" xlites would interest me in the near future

I got my MINI with R84 x-lites, but prefer R83s (oh well). I was going to order the s-lites with the sports package, but after having read so many posts on NAM comparing them with anchors I nixed that. I agree it might be easier to sell x-lites even though they are the standard wheel for the S model.

 

i like r84's, but i have a cooper, so i got r83's. too bad i dont have another set of wheels si i can trade with someone...
