WTT: Sport Seats Wanted - trade for my Leather non-sport

Sport seats too tight? Don't like the sport seat fit? Need lumbar adjustment? Want to upgrade to black leather?

I have an '03 MC with super-clean Black Profile Leather WITH LUMBAR adj., non-sport, non-heated that I would like to trade F & R for sport seats.

My seats are in great shape - no rips, tears or scuffs. Because there isn't the large side bolsters, the leather doesn't wear there like the leather sport seats do. Frankly, I think the knobby Profile Leather looks better - especially in the back seat where it's so 'flat', but I'm willing to give that up for the sport seats.

In all, first choice would be either leatherette or fabric with heated, black or gray. Second choice - make me an offer!

Thanks -

Derek

Hi Derek,

I think that you'll have a bit of trouble finding someone who wants to trade heated Sport seats for non-heated non-Sport seats (leather or not). Most folks seem to prefer the Sport seats over the non-Sport ones and finding someone who is willing to give up their seat heaters might be really hard to do.

It might help if you post some pictures of your current leather non-Sport seats so that folks can see what they look like, and if you're really after the trade, then you could sweeten the deal by offering up some extra cash as well. Other than that, you might just look for some Sport seats that someone is trying to sell outright (although they seem to be quite rare - especially in the heated form). Your best bet however, might be to find someone who's trading in their MINI and ask them to swap their seats with you before they trade it in.

Good luck in finding your seats...

That's what I did, stripped a leather/sport/heated interior before a buddy of mine traded in his '03 MCS (for a Honda truck, WTF?)

I figured I'd take the upgrade on my '02 MC, too bad I didn't have the time to take the steering wheel too!

You may want to try and just outright buy a set of seats, I did find a set on eBay before I got the above deal, he was selling them for $800, and then sell yours outright

Good luck
