its portable waterproof. great for camping and hiking. works all of us and canada. has 16 megabyte sd card for maps. can add bigger sd card to store more map info.
works with 2 AA batteries or car adapter. which is included.

Why did you buy it and why do you no longer need it?

 

because i was going to a wedding in maryland and i thought i needed it but i didnt. it was one of those frivalous purchases and i stay local. everywhere i go in nyc i know where it is since ive been driving for the last 10 years and lived here all my life. and if i need a gps i just borrow my dads.
