CALL DEALERS < THEY ARE scrambling for MINIs. I mean that seriously. And not only MINI dealers. It's not out of the question for them to pay you about what you paid because there are none around, and anyway they get the customer traffic it draws, they make big on financing, and maybe get a trade in they score on. And, they can do all the paperwork for ya;-)

(andy-you'd probably get better exposure, especially since yours is a convertible, if you started a new thread)

nbame-good luck. great looking car and you got over 1100 hits in only 19 days. you should be able to sell.

it would be nice if someone from Conn. bought it, because the plates match perfectly w/ this color scheme. plus look, WHITE RIMS!

I'd buy it if #1 I had space to park here at college and number two, if I could trade in my 04 MC with my mods which makes me the unique one out there.

If some people are looking, you also save on sales tax, since most states don't collect sales tax on private party to private party purchases. That is a saving of at least $1,000 compared with going to the dealership.

In WA you have to pay local sales tax on all used vehicle purchased when you got to get your local plates. Are other states different?

About sales tax, you must check with your state. Many will in fact require you to pay the sales tax when you go to register your car. Some will not. I believe that Georgia is one of those states that doesn't collect.

Not in California. A Private party car purchase is taxed when the car is registered.
