Just took the mini out to Mount Snow today. My Snow board comes all the way up to the parking brake!!! So I see Yakima has a roof rack for the Mini. Anyone have any expereince with this rack? I would prefer thule, since I already have all the gear off my Vdub (ski.bike etc...)

jurni,

i have picked up the yak. rack and put it on my S but only to haul surboards, so i don't have any attachments on it. It ran me a little over 300 bills with the 32" windscreen, Q-towers, #78 Q-clips and the 48" bars. It was pretty easy to put on (about 45 min the first time) and does look pretty sharp. I would however be a little nervous about putting bikes up there, i think i would forget that they are up there and start driving through the turns like i didn't have anything on the top.

hope that helps a little.
Christian

It does help thanks!!! One question, How does the rear bar clamp to the car? On a four door car, it was easy. 4 feet/hooks, 4 doors, done! thanks for your input!
