I looked on rspee.net for the blitzsafe connector (aux rca from cd changer) and it was only 69 bucks, but when i called blitzsafe themselves, they said it was 200 bucks. Is something wrong here, or should i just buy the one from rspeed.net?

And where did you find the head unit? It seems like everyone with an 02 is looking but no one is finding!
Nope rather easy if you have any mechanical abilities:
Remove the down tube screws (2 each side)
Remove screws from the center trim above the radio stack (2 screws on the bottom side of it)
Gently pull the trim piece away from the dash. You don't have to remove it, just move it enough to have about 1/2" clearance at the bottom.
While pushing down on the downtube, pull the top part out, once it's clear the whole tube will lift up and out.
4 screws hold the radio in, connectors are easy to remove and the aux jac has good instructions on how to include it into the connections, if you're going that route.

I got my radio about 5 months ago on eBay, paid $80 for it so not to bad. They come up every once in awhile, so I'd give them a look see. I see them here in the marketplace more then eBay, but you got to be quick.

I'm sure a search here and at MINI2 would give a great how to on removing the radio, to include pictures!
