you couldn't pay me to run a k&n intake.. your stock intake with a cone filter upgrade in the box is 10x better.
their metal pipe is thinner than the stock intake hose , it's metal so it heatsoaks and pulls in hot air THEN their pos oiled filters do nothing but gum up mafs and tmap and degrade their signal variations and throw off your afr and timing tables...
yea , DONT get a k&n brother...
Even a stock lid with. An ebay silicone hose is better than k&n..
I really suggest against k&n or even aem too for the same reasons.
and most "CARB legal " means it won't throw a cel..
it doesnt mean if you live ina **** state where engine modification of any kind isn't allowed, it wont matter if its "carb legal " or not unfortunately so make sure you actually are aware of your states/counties regulations..
