I daily this exact setup, and love it. Back in Cincinnati, I ran without cat and it was tolerable, down here in Florida I had to add the cat in, to raspy with all this concrete. I’d recommend this setup if your stock one blows a weld, fits like stock. Definitely helps my tune flow better.
Did you actually feel any difference with this header or see any differences on the dyno?
Never got to dyno. I was going to get a remote tune but never got around to it; I have an E90 335i as my other many project car. N54 keeps me busy. 🤣
Hard to say that I felt any difference, but if you’re planning to go all out, headers are definitely something you’d want in your build imo; intake, headers, exhaust, injectors, cam, head, and tune will make a really impressive R53. This was my original plan before my son was born.
My set up was:
DDMworks intake
Milltek Headers (with cat; no cat was way too loud), Milltek exhaust (just had resonator added; non-res was annoying)
15% pulley
Step colder plugs
Lots of suspension mods
