well, crap. I guess I wasn't fast enough. that set is gone so I am still on the hunt. Something like what is pictured would be wonderful.

I guess it really doesn't matter if they are anthracite, silver or black. I can get the centers powder coated if necessary. But a really nice set would be nice.

I looked at the wheels from Alloywheelsdirect and was hoping not to get totally reamed. They do look nice! I am trying to keep my resto within or close to within a resale value less my time which as it seems over the years is not very valuable .

I have looked at these too HausMD I am looking for the cross spoke 2 piece but have wondered if the center pieces are the same for both wheels. I have a poor set of wheels that some of the outer barrels are chewed up but could have the centers powder coated to look new again.
Do you know if they are machined exactly the same?

Hopefully I can just find a nice set of 4 at a reasonable price and just keep the couple decent spares for our other cars.
We have 5 Gen1 cars we are keeping. this will be the 3rd car with this wheel package in place when they come available.

Hopefully this one on Facebook will work out but please keep your eyes open and let me know if something else pops up. I will post to this thread if I purchase a set.

Well... Called Mini World in Sun Valley right after the post was up and got the run around for three calls and was told today they sold with the car they came in with.
It is what it is.

A shame. I sold a set of four Mini BBS R90s with silver centers in almost perfect condition a few months ago for $800 + shipping. I think the total was right at $1k. Also, I had a tire store jack up one of my MC40 rims when installing tires and it cost me $330 to replace it (the store paid). The R90s are near unobtanium status.

 

Well I hope I can find a set Cooper48. Hopefully someone will see a set I have missed or have one set hanging out in the garage and I can pick them up for my project around here.

this set just popped up local to me.

 

I do like the R98s and I think those are a great addition to the R53 or the R56 but I really would like a set of R90s with the cross spoke for authenticity.Hopefully if I stay on it long enough somebody will see a set or have a set. I look on eBay all the time and I am just waiting my turn. Hopefully something will come along soon.

I'll keep an eye out for you myself as well. In addition to Ebay, keep a look out on www.allmagauto.com and also the Willmek Ebay store. Both sites specialize in Mini parts. I would reach out to see if they have a set that they haven't posted yet.

Keeping my eye out for a Black eyed purple/purple haze R53 coupe also.

Well at this point I don't care about the color! I will repair and powder coat if necessary as long as they are straight and not chewed up by curb rash.

 

If you see this photo advertised, it's a scam. These are the R90s (and the photo I took) I sold a few months ago. I've seen this same photo on other sites so be careful.
