Well I have something here that may be of interest to someone. These don't become available in this manner all that often.
2013 R56 N18 JCW engine with only 31,500 miles. Still in the car. Auto trans. Runs and drives down the road beautifully. Was hit in the rear door. I am thinking about selling the engine in 2 ways and want to gauge some interest.
Option 1: full engine with turbo and everything attached. I will be asking around $6000 give or take. Could add the trans on for a reasonable price.
Option 2: engine (bare engine at this price..but willingly to sell complete engine for more) DME, CAS, wire harness and both keys (this if perfect for a N14 to N18 swap). Can add the trans on to the total for an additional reasonable price

Just wanted to throw this out there and see if anyone is interested and then I can work on a final price. Car came from California and last 2 years in Wisconsin. No check engine lights. I can send videos of it running and compression readings if needed. I have a 2011 and 2012 JCW now so don't need a third.
Also if you are around Chicago or Detroit could probably drive half way to meet you.

Yes it can be done but it's not a simple drop in start the engine. That is why I would also make available the DME (ECU), CAS module, both key FOBs and the N18 wiring harness and trans if you want auto. Also, the DME may have to be reprogrammed which many people have done with software you can buy. This is a project for a hardcore enthusiast (like myself haha). Google N14 to N18 swap. Lots of good info.
