I too sought after a pristine used Whalen shifter **** but instead chose a Raceseng (15% off on sale right now) on suggestion from a forum member and very pleased I did so. Despite the Whalen retro coolness, I prefer the powder coated finish which helps to reduce transmitted heat plus coordinates well with my OEM interior. Also noting, the 'Slammer' model weighs 1 lb 7 oz on postal scale vs 6.5 oz for the OEM ****, so the additional 1 lb heft is definitely functional...
