MINI CABRIO R52 RIGHT & LEFT DIAGONAL ROD SUPPORTS 51617123516 51617123515.
This structural support from the MINI Cooper Convertible can be used on multiple models of MINIs that have the factory holes to fit the brace. They connect from the side of the strut tower to the lower engine side rail on the frame. Includes screws(8) to complete the installation.
R52 have this standard.
The strut tower brace kit fits:
Gen1 MINI
R50: 2002-2006
R52: 2004-2008
R52-S: 2004-2008
R53: 2002-2006
Some earlier model MINI hatchbacks (especially 02-to early 04) do NOT have the pre-drilled and tapped nuts to accept the bolts in this kit. But you can either weld them in place or have some holes drilled and tapped or use NUTSERTS which are like a rivet that is threaded.

I was able to source new sets from Europe for both my R53 and my buddy's too, however cost of the unique BMW-spec torx screws alone are relatively spendy. Was tempted to go with China "equivalent" screws on Amazon until reading reviews of snapped heads and rusting low grade "stainless" steel. Try removing a screw shank with a broken head from those locations - nope! When in doubt, go OEM.
