2004 Mini Cooper S 6-speed manual project or parts car. Purchased four years ago with the infamous supercharger/water pump failure and a blown head gasket. Had the supercharger rebuilt by Detriot Tuned and the head checked, cleaned, and resurfaced by a local shop. After replacing the valve seals and installing the head on the car I had several other things come up and the car sat in a garage waiting to be finished until recently when I tried to get it running. After replacing a bunch of missing/broken components the car will not start. A cold compression test shows 80-90psi on each cylinder which increases to 120 or so when oil is added to the cylinders indicating that the rings or cylinders are worn. The car only has 75k on it and the body is in fairly decent shape for its age but does have a few small dents, dings, and one small rust spot on the hood. The recline on the passenger seat is also not working correctly. It goes back and forth but only locks in place when fully reclined. Slightly flexible on the price but not too much as the supercharger and rebuilt head are almost worth the asking price alone
