Best offer
2002 Mini Cooper S, 6 speed with fog lights. Silver with a white roof and white stripes. Great color combination, have not seen many others like this.
My son(who we have yet to forgive) took a turn too quickly last night, lost control over a pothole, and hit the curb.
The front right wheel, corner, and suspension need work. UPDATE: IT does start and idles fine. Gears shift ok too.
119K miles
Prior to this was a reliable daily driver in the nine years I had it since purchasing from the original owner and maintained at the dealership, bay bridge motors, mini werks, and then me. In the first few months of my ownership, I had the following replaced: clutch, supercharger re-oil, cv joint, suspension bushings, rotors, pads, power steering hose, and upgraded to the metal coolant tank. Since then, it has been an extremely reliable car and running great with no warning lights or codes and nothing more than synthetic oil changes and weekly car washes. It was a awesome driving/handling car that got 35 mpg on the highway easily. The engine, transmission, and all components were working fine before this. Would like to sell whole. But if there are some easily removable parts that you want send me PM with your offer and I will see.
Car is in San Jose, CA near 280 and Lawrence. My son will forever be in the doghouse
The quote from salvage yard was only $455, best offer over that?
Aug 28 Update : Am trying to fix it myself, so not selling for now
Good point on the autocrossing. Haven't done that in over 25 years. Unfortunately have gotten to the point where I can only manage so many big projects with my knees and back. There is an mgb sitting next to the mini ;-)
My wife says get another Mini but a JCW... let's see.

Took the right wheel off and I see the control arm is bent backward and the tie rod snapped off. Hmm this doesn't look too bad. A new control arm can be bought for as little ~$50. I think I will give it a try. How do I tell if the frame is bent?
