if your mini came with it as an option , they are mounted in the trunk right hand lower corner. If it didn't come from the dealer with the cd changer I think it would be pretty hard to track down the wiring and run the wiring since I believe it runs from the head unit all the way to the trunk.
the changer is mounted here...and if I remember, all the cars came with the wiring already in the car body....this changer was in my R53 pre-facelift car...and my '06 R52 has the wiring back in the boot (trunk) as well
