Mini R56: "Mk II" Mini Hatch/Hardtop range 2010 - 2012
Description:

Hi Everyone,

I am looking for a GP2 Brake Master Cylinder for my R56 Cooper S or any other compatible master cylinder that can support 8 pot calipers. I currently have an 8 pot setup running on the stock MC and the brakes are worse than stock due to the original cylinder not coping with big brake kit.

Be sure it isn’t because of air in the caliper or ABS. You have to take into account piston surface area on the new brakes vs the stock.

Do you have access to OBD controlled bleeding procedure?

Ah bro. Ive checked and bled all the system on several occassions. Its a big brake kit with massive rotors. I believe the master cylinder exerts not enough pressure for this brake kit. Thats why im looking for a gp2 mcylinder or a compatible high pressure master cylinder.

I’m pretty sure the only way you are going to get a used one is to find a wreck gp2. You could try email waymotors he might be able to help with a used one.

Have you looked on Allmagautoparts? Could also email them and see if they have some stuff not listed yet.

You'll need more than just that Master Cylinder...... https://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Sit...h/34336863500/
and gaskets / hardware. Them brakes came off a BMW M series.

And some BMW line codes have to be changed after install for proper braking...
