Description:

Hey all I'm converting my midlands (since it blew) to a 5 speed getrag and I need some parts from an July '04 - 07 R50:

  • Axles + Axle Hex Nuts
  • Clutch and Flywheel
  • Clutch Slave Cylinder + Hydraulic Line C
  • Transmission Mount
Things I'm unsure of:
  • Shifter Cables (Same part no. on Rockauto)
  • Starter (Same part no. on Rockauto)
  • Passenger Axle support bearing
  • Backup light switch/plug
I may be interested in trading the 5 speed getrag for a working midlands as well. This will be my wife's car and I just need it working - not necessarily to be a performance car.

Not mine, but I found this while looking for parts for a 6 speed swap.

If you're going through all that work, you should seriously consider putting in the 6-speed instead. An '05 and '06 6-speed would be ideal due to the slightly different gear ratios. For referencing part numbers and checking what you need, use realoem.com. For instance, I do not believe the starter from the 5-speed manual will work on the 6-speed, but the CVT starter will work on the 6-speed. There are all sorts of odd things like that that you'll be able to check and verify easily with a lot of accuracy on realoem.
