Sorry, didn't see that post. So figure with labor at 2 hours, probably $768 installed. Thats not far off from my Pound conversion installed price of $817. In fact, I'd bet installed it is $800.

Two questions though, do they cover the the holes when taking off the old wing?

And, what's with the glue? How strong can glue be? Why isn't it bolted on? In other words, if it were glued on, it would seem that someone could push down on it and it would just pop right off?

Group buy ... I might be in

The JCW CF hood scoop installed was about $300 including 10% off. This is a much bigger piece than that tiny scoop. I doubt its going out the door for less than $800. I'd be more worried about getting the glue correct

I never noticed anywhere about what they used to put it on....When i talked to the Mini rep whos handling this to come into the country he said theres an ingredient in the adhesive that wasnt legal in the US....i never asked if it was an epoxy or tape.

JCW's boonet scoop is one of the best i've seen, b4 i saw electrodyne.cc theirs is on point. that 10% is on roadfly right, so plus shippin'-- but dont see why on earth would U pay dealer to install this simple piece?

No roadfly is 15% or more. DCMM is 10%, I used DCMM.

Dealer installed because I was there having brakes put on and as an afterthought, told them to go get the CF pieces and stick them on while I was waiting!

BTW, the boot handle is not so simple. See MDBRAIN's blog on the hassle he had! I don't need hassles at my age

Its perfect. The JCW bits are perfect matches. Since I have anthrocite wheels, the CF matches up nicely.

As for the parts # shown on this site....The only part # that are working in my warehouse finder ( DSCnet ) is the Black and White ones but are still not available until October.....The other numbers will hopefully work when they fix with w/e the issue is with them.

Hahaha of course....i'm uber rich and have connections at JCW....or not . It's a tuner out in japan that is taking pics showing it off.

I agree with the growing comment. Some angles i love the look, and others it looks out of place.

So far i dont think anything like that has been released. I wonder if it will . It's speculated that one of the spy shots shows them testing for the appropriate position etc.
