I have a 2019 JCW LCI that I was thinking of having a catted downpipe installed. I have been told that catless is the way to go but I want to make sure I can pass emissions in IL. Could I do a catted downpipe with a JB4 burger tune? Anyone have any recommendations on a downpipe? My car has the pro exhaust and craven speed cold air intake. My goal is better sound for my daily driver. Any additional performance gains are just a bonus. I don't track the car, just enjoy some spirited driving.

Save the $1K plus labor, and spend it on a Miltek or Remus exhaust.

 

I am discovering in my research that changing the exhaust would be way easier and cheaper.

 

I got one from Racing Dynamics. The fitment was horrible and the support was slow.

 

Crap, I was thinking about getting that one - can you share more info please? How did you make it work, what did you need to modify? How do you like it now that it's installed? Any CEL lights or other problems? Are there any other, higher quality catted downpipes confirm working and no CEL's? I don't want the chiptune to turn off any checks or controls for the CEL to be off.
