Good catch, noticed in your screenshot the hardtop was a European plate and the conv looks like USA plate (Marin)
I checked the Italian site and it doesn't show that "brace" on the convertible, the USA site does show the "brace" on the main page but not in the configurator?

Yes the convertibles will always have more braces Vs the hardtop.
