My 17 is on its third set, all for free. They also resurfaced my rotors.

Oy, here ya go. top of page 8, What is NOT covered in 2017.

http://www.miniusa.com/content/dam/m...017_Manual.pdf

It appears some dealers aren't aware of this change for '17....but mine was.

?unless you purchased the "maintenance program upgrade option?"

If not, then I am envious

I did get the extended maintenance package at my dealership maybe that is why they are covering brakes.

I don't have them side, but side. But the reason backs are wearing out quicker is they look to have about 30-40% less contact surface than the front pads have. I've had them both off in my hands, just not at the same time.

If anyone would care to watch, I went to my first real track day this past Sunday and surprised a few people. I'm still on a stock JCW brake setup which performed wonderfully with no fade whatsoever.

I still think I want to get upgraded pads next time I change them, just to see what their potential is. I found a company on ECS Tuning called ISweep who makes multiple levels of performance compound. I'm going to try the IS2000 when I upgrade. https://www.ecstuning.com/b-isweep-p...2000-r1312-15/

Anyway, have a look at the video of my first stint if you'd like to. https://youtu.be/DXbcbWEyYSE

I was at Laguna Seca on Sunday, and DEFINITELY experienced fade on the last lap of each session, and I am also on the stock JCW Brembos and stock pads, just swapped out a few months ago. My brother was riding with me, hence the chatting while driving.

CORK SCREW TIME! Wow, I am so jealous. What a great track.

On another note, My front brake pad warning came on on Tuesday, and I wasn't even mad. I immediately hopped on ECS and ordered a set of performance pads from iSweep and will be putting them on soon. Looks like I'm going to go through front pads in this car on a consistent 10k mile basis.

It's my absolute favorite track. The corkscrew is so fun.

Oh hey, I see that you have the CS big braces, did you notice a big difference with those?

I did that upgrade about the same time as the springs, so it's hard to say which part changed which dynamic. The big braces are definitely a lot more sturdy than the stock ones, though, so it seemed like a good upgrade.
