FWIW, I have 2. One is a factory JCW (R52) , the other modified to be JCW plus (R53). The R53 is noticeably quicker, handles better, sounds better, etc. It does have LSD plus a bunch of goodies. Point being that a non JCW car can be made to equal or exceed JCW specs. Just depends on what you want.

Good luck in your search.

Torque steer is always an issue with front drive cars. The LSD minimizes this important issue. Especially when you are driving the twisties at speed.

on the track or autocross torque steer has never been an issue for either of my r53's (one LSD one without), but wheel spin sure is, it takes some finesse asking the front tires to turn and put down power at the same time. The LSD helps a TON I really like the stock LSD and have been looking for another LSD for quite a while, not interested in the aftermarket ones

I bought a car a couple weeks ago or so, got a factory JCW car.

I'm very happy with the way it drives, just need to sort out some small issues.

I'd definitely recommend an limited slip with the power this car has, I'd be spinning a single wheel all the time without it.
