Help with JCW

I have an 09 JCW, last week I experienced what I believed was a blowout. Turns out, something has happened and now the AC compressor pulley is rubbing on the subframe. I heard an "explosion" so to speak, followed by the grinding sound and immediately pulled over and noticed all tires were good. After going over everything, I noticed sparks coming from ac pulley and driver's side half shaft boot was destroyed and grease/oil everywhere. The wheel still spins as it should. I have checked all the motor mounts and they look good. Anybody have a clue on where to go next? Could it be a half shaft problem that caused the engine to shift? I'm pulling my hair out over here..lol . I didn't run over anything or hit anything and have searched fourms for similar issues with no luck. Any advice appreciated.
Thanks from a JCW loving"noob"
