@ 02fanatic - I have searched the whole West Coast, it has been sorta fun ;-) There is not any exactly like I would build but I understand there needs to be some trade off's. With that I am working a few deals. My dealer that I have ties with will discount a JCW $2,700 if he can get one of the few I have found OR I can buy directly from those dealers and 1. Pay MSRP AND 2. Pay for shipping the car or a one way ticket and drive home.

None of the local dealers have order slots plus I don't want to rent a car for that long so not really an option.

There are however several S's specced exactly like I would order. I really just worry that I buy an S and then regret not getting the JCW. I am confident my DD chores the S will be great. It is when I head out to the AX track that I kick myself.

You would think this should be easy but we are finding it quite the challenge. There just isn't a lot of JCW inventory around with the stuff we want. Can't order one either, both timing and availability from dealers. Have searched from Sacramento all the way to AZ. Found two we like, neither one will deal at all but $1K off. The dealership I do have connections with will do a deal at $2,800 off but they have to get one of these guys to do a dealer trade.

The other fly in the ointment is the deals I can get on an S. While MSRP vs. MSRP it doesn't make sense to NOT buy the JCW. However when you compare $1K off MSRP for the JCW vs like $5K off an S then the price differential becomes something to consider.

I could find a perfect S with everything I want with zero sacrifices or a JCW in like the 4th color on my wish list. Damn I didn't think this could be so hard.

Factory JCW are not easy to find unless you are willing to g across the country in Cail, FL, NY, NJ ..etc they pop up from time to time on dealerships. But I know 3 dealerships around here and most of the time they dont have one on lot or even place orders for them for inventory unless ordered by future owner.
