Guys (Rye) I need help pls
Tried to install my NM lowering springs but I'm stuck. I can't seem to push the control arm low enough to get the strut out. Everything that needs to be removed have been taken out; sway bar link, tie rod, ball joint, wheel housing bolt, strut tower bolts. Any tips or tutorial? Thanks.
Put the strut top bolts very loosely back in to keep the strut as high as possible. Next, have a big heavy friend stomp on the brake rotor to push the control arm lower. The newer the car, the more force required to lower the control arm enough to release the strut. If you're a slim guy like me, you might not have enough weight to do it safely.
..and remember, this is just one reason why bolt-on struts are better.
