Aftermarket Wheels

This has probably been brought up, but I can't seem to find it, so here it goes:

Are there any "light" aftermarket wheels out there yet? Preferably in the 17" size? I saw some over in the BMW 2 series sight that really looked nice, but I doubt that they'll work with the JCW's massive front breaks, plus the bolt pattern. Why can't BMW/MINI use conventional, or should I say, the same size bolt pattern?

I run Enkei wheels as my race wheels because they aren't extremely expensive and they're light weight. We also run them on our in house MINI. Might need to double check and see if it'll work for yours though.

Just a blurb about Enkei:

"Enkei also produces sophisticated high-tech race wheels for a variety of motorsport, including rallying, drift, sportscar racing and single-seater racing – including supplying lightweight magnesium Formula 1 race wheels to Vodafone McLaren Mercedes."

Yes, you are right, and these Enkeis look very nice, as do O.Zs, but will any of these fit over the Brembo Brakes of the 2016 JCW? That's my question right now. The NM's were suppose to, but they need spacers, which I am not in favor of. Thanks for the reference, and it will be interesting to find what does fit and look great.

They fit over the Brembo's on the yellow MINI, but not sure about yours. You may be able to give them a call and see if they know for a fact if they will on your platform MINI with the Brembo's.

RPF1's notoriously lack brake clearance. The OP is asking for specific examples of wheels proven to fit the [admittedly] absurd caliper offset on the F56 JCW.

So far, the only thing we've seen are the NM wheels + spacers.

What is the minimum spacer size? Are we able to get away with 5mm, or do we need larger spacers?

NM says 5mm, but the guy that installed them did bigger for the flushness, so nobody's actually confirmed that's the minimum yet.
