Upgraded Jcw brakes ?

I know the new jcw brakes are good

But the doesn't mean that they cannot be improved on

Currently talking to several manufactures about 2 part discs to suit the factory oem brembos

I hope to have a solution soon, it won't be cheap

Has anyone looked at upgraded pads yet
I'm told these are the BMW equivalent 34116859066
Can anyone confirm they have fitted ok ?
Or even better tried any aftermarket pads yet

For sure a 2-piece floating would be a fantastic upgrade. Fixed calipers with solid rotors aren't the best as they typically don't allow the pads to remain planar with the disc as it heats up. Fixed calipers work best with floating rotors as the rotors stay "flatter" as they heat up and remain truer to the pad faces. In practice is a subtle thing and something only important for track days or actual racing, on the street it's not a big deal at all. The other big advantage of 2-piece rotors is the unsprung weight savings.

As for pad compounds, surely Carbotech and Cobalt will jump in as soon as someone gives them a set of stock pads to measure for backing plate shape and pad thickness.
