Dynamica seats question.......

I stopped by the dealer yesterday and I may be interested to test drive the JCW next week when I will have time.

I like the Dynamica seats but they seem very narrow and the rear bottom cushion doesn't seem to adjust about height. Also, are the bolsters and lumbar supports adjustable?

Among other observations, the steering column adjustment seems very limited compared to my Coupe.

You are correct. The F56 has a narrower seat than any of the R5x models. Height or angle adjustments will match what you have on your R58, but the Dinamica seats WILL have adjustable lumbar support.

Steering wheel is a bit more limited, but will still offer a nice level of adjustment to get a comfortable position.

All I can recommend is take one for a drive, spend some time to find a comfortable seating position.

Is there any option for a wider bottom seat in the JCW?

The steering adjustment seems "very" limited but nobody complains about this.

You can get the Dinamica seats (standard) or the seats from the F56 (any material). You can't get the Recaros like with the F56. Nobody complains about the steering adjustment probably because nobody adjusts it. I never have used it in 8+ years of Mini ownership.

The JCW seats are a lot like the Recaro's on the R5x models, so I don't think there will be a need to worry.

Also, steering wheel adjustment is important on the F56, especially for someone like myself with thick legs

My understanding is they are the same seats but with different fabric. The problem of the bottom being too narrow has no option unless the bottom bolsters are adjustable.

As for the steering column adjustment, it is an important feature for me because I am 5' 10" and it provides better driving comfort and making it easier to be in and out of the car. It is a feature I use daily and have always in my previous cars.
