Thanks man! I'm glad I went with the Thunder Grey w/ red roof Hey just a FYI the JCW RMP reader on the HUD is pretty sweet. I forgot I even had that and had to select it in settings to turn it on.

Love the combo. You mentioned in another post you may add the black out rings for Headlites , tail lights and Gas cap. Still planning or mulling it over.......

What is RMP reader? Have hud and so far have directions and speed showing. Still messing with setting for HUD and XL Connect.

Updated blacked out pics & HUD info

Sorry guys for being late on this. Attached pics show the new \ de-chromed JCW with stock black trim for the headlights and tail lights...(yes thats me being silly) what do you think? Also NH, you have to go to settings, head display, display info and put on the RMP reader..honesty I forgot what its called, however its the only thing not checked off when you get to settings (you will what I mean when you are looking at it). Nav will uncheck if you click the sport RPM option. Its pretty cool and only comes with JCWs.

I could have deff done with out my tick mark (not that I could have ordered it without it that I'm aware of), but all that being said I doesn't really stand out in person to me. I honesty forgot it was even like that till you guys posted the pic of it.

I agree, it doesn't catch your attention when in the car. At least I don't really notice it.

You should get the rings painted the body color.

I think it's suppose to be RPM reader not RMP on HUD

I really like the HUD. It's probably the thing I most wish I had from the F56. The LED headlights are cool too, but my BiXenons are pretty awesome IMO and I can actually get EOM aftermarket LED fogs on my car that act as DRLs. I really hate the look of the 3 gauges that are in front of the driver. I'll be interested to hear if anyone gets those on their car in the future.

Rpm - hud

Hey guys..sry i meant RPM. Heres a quick pic i took the other day.. understand that its hard to take a pic of the info on the HUD. This RPM reader is pretty sweet in real life. I have to admit the HUD is so far my fav Gen 3 addition.

Nice , thanks for the real world pic. Looks like it has checkered flag at the bottom of the circle.

Wow super jealous that I don't have that RPM reader!!

I saw in the pictures above the JCW with the three pods on the dash- I have not heard/read anything about those. Are they an upcoming option? I saw them in a picture of the new convertible as well. I guess you have to get them in lieu of the HUD since they mount in the same spot.

The JCW Pods are an option as well as the JCW HUD.

Yeah- I mean the JCW HUD is just the HUD with added functionality. I was just saying that I wish my HUD showed that!

And as for the pod, I can't believe I didn't see that as an option. Found it! I wonder if it will spread across the lineup since the non JCW convertible seems to be offering it..

And as I said, it's annoying that you can't get both options. I'm surprised they did not mount the gauges somewhere else so that you could get both since the HUD will not show you that information on the gauges..

I have to say- the gauge pod is a little ugly. I remember on my beetle turbo it was more integral in the center. This one is right in your line of sight!
