The new JCW...........

I stopped by the Mini dealer today and their first JCW was in the showroom.

Black with red top and black wheels, it was for sure impressive in many ways with also the black leather seats. The overall job was over 38K with A/T and very few other options.

The attention to details about the JCW logos is all over including the seat head rests but none in the engine bay what seems strange.

For the premium price of a JCW, I believe it would have been welcome.

I never noticed, but I've only opened my hood 2 or 3 times in the year I've had it. Mine doesn't burn any oil I'll tell you that much.

Mine doesn't burn oil either......at least not for now.

I am just a bit picky about engine bay detailing LOL.

My dealer had a new black one on the showroom floor - but a second look revealed that it was that dark non-metallic green, not black. Looked great but $1,000 extra for a non-metallic paint might be a little steep.

I forget the name of that dark green color, but it's exclusive to the JCW. It was offered as the only color for a limited (to 500 cars) edition JCW around 2013 called the WC50. I think only 50 of those were sold in the US. I agree it's a bit steep, but people who shop in this category won't be scared off by $1000 if it makes there car more "exclusive". I looks like a great color to me.

It seems pretty easy to go up close to 50K for a fully optioned JCW as yours. Do you agree?
