jcw with minor mods

Hi,
I just have a jcw 210 hp from the 2006 year with the following engine mods. Milltek header, Milltek cat back, GP intercooler, foam filter in the jcw air box, ati +2% crank pulley
The handling department I have more then enough mods and will be discussed some other time.
-1. I was wondering if any of you experience a major hp gain from 5000+ rpm? I do not push my car passed 4500 rpm usually unless on the track. The difference was almost like vtec lol. I just want to know the experiences of owners who run a similar setup like mine. I case the engine is running lean up top.
-2. Do I need a retune to extract the most out of my setup?
-3. Anyone seen the jcw exhaust developing a hole and blowing exhaust gas up BBQ'ing the battery? - this one is more of a rant since I did not wanted to change the exhaust. I later found out that my flex pipe was starting to leak -augh!! So I bit the bullet and bought the Milltek header as well. I am not sure how it pairs up with the rmw but so far I give it a thumbs up

Why would you not run your RPM up above 4,500? I regularly run mine up close to the redline. The engine is robust. You aren't going to break it by revving above 4,500.

My MINI has a rev limiter & I know how to use it. Winder her out for gosh sake.

Haha I am pretty civilized for daily driving. I mainly ring her out on track. There have only need a few odd times then I had to redline her though.
My main concern was running lean up top because the power does come on strong above 5000 rpm. Perhaps I am just too paranoid.

Here is a photo taken from circuit mont tremblant skid pad. The background is the part of the circuit that is leading up to a blind left hand corner at the crest under the bridge.

Car runs pretty rich stock, I don't think the 2% crank pulley would lean it out too much. Wind it up. Enjoy.
