Weighed my car today...

2,680lbs with 1 gallon of fuel (6lbs) + 180lb driver.

This means my highly modified 2006 MCS JCW weighs a svelte 2,494lbs or 115 lbs less than the original GP according to Car And Driver...

Excellent! Care to share your list of "dietary" items that brought the weight down? BTW, I believe that "Curb Weight" is defined with a full tank of fuel, so you need to add 12x6=72 lb. Still, very impressive.

You are correct about the definition of curb weight NC Trackrat- Sorry about that. I also filled the tank at the weigh station which took 13.2 gallons (79.2lbs). Still very happy for this weight considering I have HID headlights, HK audio system W/satellite radio and many other creature comforts. I did most of these modifications 7 years ago so there may be some items missing in the list (only listed weight loss mods here):

16x7 SSR Comp C wheels
Wheel stud conversion
Lightweight Gorilla aluminum lug nuts
225/50R16 Continental Extreme Contact DW tires
TCE/Wilwood 12.19” front & 11.75” rear brakes
Hotchkiss 27.0 mm front & 25.5 mm rear tubular sway bars
R56 aluminum rear control arms
SPC upper & lower alloy rear camber arms
Removed rear window wiper
Removed rear spoiler & filled in holes
Replaced rear seat & seat belts with upholstered/hinged cover
Replaced front seats with recreations of vintage racing Mini seats (heated)
Removed HID washer pump & reservoir

Cut & pasted the antenna from the "Big List of Mods" by mistake. Also forgot to include that I already have an 11lb Braile battery that will be replaced by their lithium version soon since it's almost dead after 5 years of use.
