Front spoiler replacement for newbie

I just got my Mini and the previous owner "wore" out the front spoiler. I am trying to replace it and am not sure how all of the Mini tabs/barbs work. I have everything undone except the large number of tabs that go all around the front edge of the spoiler. Is there a good method for doing this, preferred tool, etc.? The tab/barbs on trailing edge are easy, they flatten out for removal.

Thanks for any help or guidance.
