Alta Compressor Recirculation Valve

Just installed a Alta Compressor Recirculation Valve on my 09 JCW, I'm hoping someone else could tell me if they felt a differance when they did so. Not sure why but after installing this product my car is running VERY SLUGGISH, no response what so ever. It felt way better with the stock electrical unit, the main reason i did it was to lose the check engine light i was getting on and off with the stock unit.

I have this installed. I wouldn't say mine is sluggish. The recirc valve does have a 'low boost purge' feature, but as soon as I put my foot down that whistling from the purge disappears and my JCW holds the boost. Is this what you're describing as sluggish? If not, I would check the connections and make sure that valve is bolted on tight. When I hear sluggish from this I think: 1) Boost isn't holding and 2) therefore there must be a leak somewhere.

Do you have the Alta AP? Perhaps that is clearing a CEL somewhere that isn't related to the O2 sensor or something. I'm wondering if the 'limp mode' is being masked somehow. I did have the resistor ends touch after hitting a pothole thereby shorting the resistor and putting the car into limp mode. The limp mode made the car very sluggish and wouldn't allow positive boost until I changed the resistor out and cleared the CEL.

I have one fitted to my JCW and its far from sluggish. Its the bottom end torque around town to you can feel has improved.

Is it installed properly? Did you fit the O-Ring to the valve?
