N14 JCW OEM Airbox cone filter on N18 Engine

As far as the mounting screws not lining up when adding an N14 airbox upper housing to an N18 lower housing, has anyone replaced the bottom airbox housing (on an N18) with the N14 housing then added the "old" cone style gen2 JCW airbox.... I was told this works and has been done at WMW. I'm about the pull the plug on both a JCW intake (JCW AI PN: 13720429380) and the whole Intake muffler assembly housing (Intake Muffler PN: 13717577509) and see if it will fit on the N18 (Gen2 GP).... I have to get the whole stock N14 Air Intake to get the bottom housing part of the N14.... unless I find a used one

Any input or pictures would be great

This will be done on a Gen2 GP

I mentioned it in my other thread that you posted in, and I got the GP2 as well, so if you just replace your air intake filter with K&N Part Number 33-2936, you will essentially have the N18 JCW Tuning Kit Airbox minus the JCW logo.

I could be wrong, but I don't think the N18 JCW Tuning Kit Airbox is worse than the N14 JCW Tuning Kit Airbox. So maybe this will help get you what you want without spending more than needed!
