Out of curiosity, what does the non JCW speedo go up to? Not that I care about seeing a needle bouncing on a car I spent a lot of hard earned cash on...just curious, you know?

On another note, I found the production number given to me by the MA, which I had a lot of difficulty extracting, was not for my car but 'another customer's'. So I've been tracking someone else's car...which makes me feel kind of dirty, like looking at someone else's kid in the hospital nursery. Wow. Is it unreasonable for me to feel that this has detracted from the whole experience thus far, significantly? Or am I a baby?

And, on the dealer installed accessories, they have jacked the prices up quite a lot higher over those listed on the MINI configurator - 15% above on one and 40% on another...and I'm waiting on the price shock of a third part not yet priced. There's a total of $130 of nickel and diming I see...so far. Funny thing, I keep hearing promises it will be an awesome experience of buying at this dealership...awesome for whom, I wonder?

Wow, none of that makes sense. If it were me, I would call the dealer and ask for the GM. Tell them what you experienced thus far, and ask for a copy of your order and production and VIN #.

I'm not really the kind of guy to go kicking up a stink every time something doesn't go my way. The 'MA', if a professional MA, should already be aware that this ship is in rough waters. In fact, I think this MA is actually an OT (order taker) and clueless. And possibly the subject of other complaints, especially if this is the regular standard of business...I'd hate to be the final straw and see someone lose their job over me...not that would happen based solely on my experience, but I have heard it took just one straw to hurt a poor camel once. I am pretty disappointed with things so far, but just staying a little focussed on the end result for now.

I did get my order last night, there's no VIN but apparently scheduled for week 33. I appreciate your offer on the order, but at this stage I'll decline, thank you.

Hey thanks for the info on the speedo. Is it a case of, a la Spinal Tap, "This one goes up 1 more to 11. It's louder." haha I wonder if I can get a decal made up to change the numbers on my speedo to go from 0 to 11? At least I would find it funny, and as long as I make me laugh, that's all that counts! Occasionally even, my wife laughs with me.
