I am looking for a rear roof spoiler to add a new and dynamic look to my 2012 MINI JCW (British Racing Green/black roof). I am only adding the spoiler for persoanl reasons and not for any true downforce.

I was thinking of going with the Fubrication GP style (Challenge Wing)




OR

the carbon fibre JCW spoiler from the MINI catalog.



OR

nothing at all...keep the stock wing and just drive the car!!

 

Personally, save the money and put it towards track days and better brakes.

If you really wanted a new spoiler, I'd go with the JCW Carbon Fiber Wing, or possibly the GP style option, sans the Evo-esque strakes. They just look silly and will make the car look cheap. Knowing what cars cost in Canada, especially a special edition like the JCW, I wouldn't want to make the car look too aftermarket, but that's just me.

 

I agree, just looking for a way to make my MINI personalized to me and not something too over the top. Maybe I should just spend $200 and get some vinyl applied so it is not permanent

 

Fubrication no longer sell the delete kit and the fit is disappointing probably because it is the same wing for both r53 and r56 they also forgot my instructions which I never received. I ended up just bolting it on myself with a bunch of washers used as spacers to fill the big gaps the bad fit makes. I don't know if the r56 wing is attached like the r53 but because the delete kit is no longer available you may have holes in the hatch from where the stock wing attached I order the JCW covers that come with the JCW wing to cover up my holes which cost about $20.

 

Can you run an M7 Wing and GP deletion?

 

Not on the r53 and I assume your talking about the c wing
