Honda isn't thinking. All they want to make nowadays are appliances. Performance to them is adding a hybrid package - see CR-Z.

I miss the days of the NSX, S2000, CRX, old Integra etc...their cars actually had a soul back then.

I put a deposit in August for my 2012 JCW hatch/hardtop... Started production yesterday! The wait is getting more difficult now.

I couldn't agree more! That's one thing I love about mini is the individuality they want to instill in each car. The old imports were about the experience the owner received while piloting the car. It gave who ever was behind the wheel a sense of pride in their car which drove them to personalize it to be unique. Now I don't feel there is many cars produced that give that same feeling to the owner and it's killing the motoring experience.

you kidding me drewster? Nope. I'm in the same boat as you upgrading from a non-S to a JCW. First car was a volvo xc70 i inherited but broke down a year .5 later (my sisters did a number on it). Learned to drive a stick --> non-S '10 mini -->JCW.

Third car thank you and I treat her well. a fellow non-S'er should know what it's like upgrading a PW/blk mini hahaha

Thumbs up to all the "experienced" MINI motorers! Driving a MINI reverses the aging process inversely proportional to the odometer!!

I have a 03 S modded with Dinan gear (15% pulley, intake, throttle body, fuel system, software), JCW exhaust, Wilwood 12.2" BBK, KW Var 3 coilovers, Vorschlag camber plates, H&R rear sway, H-sport rear camber links...

Do I qualify as a sorta-JCW? By the way, I am 40 and bought this last year, and most of miles are track miles at High Plains Raceway in Colorado. Love beating up on BMWs and Porsches in the twisties!
