I just got my VIN number today, what kind of a time frame am I looking at? Anyone have a good idea?

 

I got mine a couple of day ago too...dying to find out what the timing looks like.

 

At least for military sales over here, you get your VIN the week before it goes into production.

 

i put my order in on june 16. my baby was born today at 6:30 am yayayy no more waiting well sort of hahah

 

I have heard that before as well.

Mine's also waiting to catch a ride over. Hoping to catch the November 10 WW ship over to CA...

 

how did you find that out ? like the dates ?

 

I called and found out that my car was at the port, waiting for a boat. Then I saw that the next WW ship to Port Hueneme is in Southampton on 11/10.

 

oh ok mine is on the truck on the way to the port now. how long did your mini sit at the port?

My little car is on the TORRENS heading across the Atlantic now for California. Should arrive 11/30. Hopefully I can take delivery before Christmas.

 

My JCW MINI was born today...yay. I have inside information since my MA is also my wife.

 

Had a look yesterday and according to CN Rail tracking (www.cn.ca) my car was at the Toronto rail yards, with final stop North of Toronto today. Checked with the trucking company MINI Canada uses (www.lhf.com/hansens) and I found my JCW should be on a truck as of today, delivery date on or before 21Nov2011. The truck drive is only 2 hrs so I am really hoping it is sooner than that.

MA says I may take delivery next Monday or Tuesday! (Maybe sooner?? )

 

WoW...it's getting close..I'm actually getting excited for you. I should have mine two weeks after you.

 

Dang, I wish I could have gotten all that info. Hell, I can't even log into the Owner's Lounge since even though it's US spec it's not in the US system. :(

But you're getting close! Now is about when I started ordering all kinds of little knick-knacks and doo-dads (those are technical terms) for Tess.
